Hola que tal hermanos escultistas pues en esta ocasiones y conmemorando el anterior jueves 25 de noviembre sino me falla la memoria je. Pues por ser ese día, día internacional en contra de la violencia hacia la mujer y nosotros como scout y guías debemos de apoyar ya que hasta cierto momento a como yo lo veo opinión personal algunas asociaciones scouts no manejan el termino guidismo y que ese termino es emblemático para una guía ya que es su verdadero nombre y no scout claro no es cosa de diferencia sino por que ellas se merecen un nombre propio y justo algo que haga valer su historia y todo lo que en ellas puedan encontrar pero bueno es mi opinión cada quien tendrá la suya y que las respeto ya que me gusta practicar la tolerancia a si que disfruten de la breve biografía de Agnes B.P.
Agnes Smyth Baden Powell, nació el 16 de diciembre de 1858. Su padre fue el Reverendo H. G. Baden-Powell quién era profesor de Geometría en la Universidad de Oxford en Inglaterra.
Agnes Baden Powell fue una de las personas más influyentes en el desarrollo del Guidismo desde sus inicios.
Agnes, por encargo de su hermano, se involucró con la correcta organización de las Guías Scouts desde el principio, siguiendo el éxito dela reunión en el Palacio de Cristal.
Ella enviudó cuando tenía 36 años y tuvo que criar a sus hijos ella sola.
La familia era de clase alta y esto usualmente significaba que el dinero no era un problema. Agnes era menor que su hermano, Robert Baden Powell, y en el momento en el que ella aceptó encargarse de las guías (1910), ya estaba alrededor de los 52 años.
Agnes era conocida por ser una gran música, que tocaba el órgano, el piano y el violín. Como artista, ella fue descrita como excelente en toda clase de manualidades, como el tejido y el trabajo con metales.
Estando más interesada en historia natural, Agnes siempre insistió en las actividades al aire libre para el Movimiento. Pero eso no es todo! Ella era experta reconocedora en astronomía, montaba en bicicleta, nadaba, conducía y patinaba; además, era una excelente cocinera. En su casa ella mantenía una colmena de abejas y producía una deliciosa miel. Las abejas tenían acceso al exterior por una tubería a través de la pared.
Había además una colonia de mariposas viviendo en su casa y varios pequeños pájaros que no eran enjaulados.
Cuando Agnes aceptó orientar el naciente Movimiento de las Guías se convirtió en la Presidenta, incluso aunque esto no sería oficial hasta el 24 de Septiembre de 1915 en la concesión de una acta de incorporación.
En 1909, se registró en la oficina central la primera compañía de Guías, se llamó “Miss Baden Powell´s Own”, (Compañía de Miss Baden Powell).
Para abril de 1910, ella, con dos de sus amigas, vieron la necesidad de tener una oficina para las guías por lo que comenzó a rentar un cuarto en el edificio donde los Boy Scouts tenían sus oficinas.
Para este tiempo había por lo menos 6000 niñas registradas, y como B-P estaba ansioso por mantener los dos grupos separados, les adelantó 100 libras para que lograran establecerse.
En la primera parte de este siglo, niñas y mujeres debían ser “señoritas” y muchos padres tuvieron grandes dudas acerca del movimiento, pero aquellos que conocieron a Agnes declararon que una mujer más dulce no podría ser encontrada.
En los siguientes años Agnes trabajó adaptando el manual de “Escultismo para muchachos” al “Manual de las Muchachas Guías” o “Cómo las niñas pueden ayudar a construir el imperio”.
Ella tomó valor y coordinó el Guidismo a través del mundo, estableció la primera compañía, escribió artículos para el Girl Guide Gazette, y con su comité tomó todas las decisiones, grandes y pequeñas, que ayudaron a crear la organización que hoy existe.
En 1917 Agnes renunció a la Presidencia a favor de su Alteza Real, la Princesa María, quien fue una entusiasta colaboradora para las Guías.
Agnes permaneció como Vicepresidenta hasta su muerte en Junio de 1945, a la edad de 86 años.

Hello brothers scouts such as on this occasion, commemorating the previous Thursday, 25 November but memory fails me je. Agnes Smyth Baden Powell, was born on December 16, 1858. His father was the Rev. H. G. Baden-Powell who was Professor of Geometry at Oxford University in England.
Agnes Baden Powell was one of the most influential in the development of Guiding since its inception.
Agnes, on behalf of his brother, became involved with the proper organization of the Girl Scouts from the beginning, following the success dela meeting at Crystal Palace.
She was widowed when she was 36 and had to raise their children alone.

Which recognizes she was expert in astronomy, bicycling, swimming, driving and skating, also was an excellent cook. At home she kept a hive of bees and produce a delicious honey. The bees had access to the outside through a pipe through the wall.
There was also a colony of butterflies living at home and several small birds were not caged.
When Agnes agreed to direct the nascent Movement of Guides became the President, even though this would not be official until September 24, 1915 on the granting of a certificate of incorporation.
In 1909, occurred in the central office the first company of guides, called "Miss Baden-Powell's Own" (Miss Baden Powell Company).
By April 1910, she, with two of his friends, saw the need to have an office for the guides so they began to rent a room in the building where the Boy Scouts had their offices.
At this time there were at least 6000 girls registered as BP was anxious to keep the two separate groups, they advanced 100 pounds to get a foothold.
In the first part of this century, girls and women should be "ladies" and many parents had grave doubts about the movement, but those who knew Agnes stated that a sweet woman could not be found.
In the following years, Agnes worked to adapt the handbook "Scouting for Boys" to the "Handbook of the Girl Guides" or "How girls can help build the empire."
It took courage and coordinated Guiding throughout the world, established the first company, wrote articles for the Girl Guide Gazette, and his committee took all the decisions, big and small, who helped create the organization that exists today.
In 1917 Agnes resigned the Presidency on behalf of His Royal Highness, Princess Mary, who was an enthusiastic contributor to the Guidelines.
Agnes remained as Vice President until his death in June 1945, at the age of 86.
