Hola hermanos escultistas bueno yo creo que muchos scouts siguen a este personaje que Bear Grylls un gran explorador y que tiene un excelente programa muy bueno pero aquí les dejo una pequeña biografía de el saludos.
Bear Grylls, (Edward Michael Grylls) el famoso protagonista y estrella mediática, de la serie documental “El Ultimo superviviente” o “A prueba de todo” en Latinoamérica, la cual se emite en mas de 150 países de todo el mundo, es miembro activo del Movimiento Scout, desde que con 8 años entro a formar parte de su grupo scout de la Asociación Scout Inglesa.
Aventurero, escritor y presentador de televisión, Bear Grylls creció en la isla de Wight, en donde desde niño comenzó a escalar con su padre.
Sirvió en los servicios aéreos especiales de la Fuerza Británica y fue precisamente desempeñando esta labor, cuando sufrió un grave accidente de espalda al lanzarse en paracaídas sobre el sur de África.
A pesar del accidente, se convirtió en el escalador británico más joven que consiguió alcanzar la cima del Monte Everest y regresar con vida. Grylls recopiló esta experiencia en el libro “Facing Up”.
Consiguió otro extraordinario logro con el mismo equipo con el que alcanzó la cima del Monte Everest, al darle la vuelta al Reino Unido en moto de agua.
También lideró la primera travesía sin asistencia en una embarcación hinchable en las frías aguas del Atlántico Norte. Por esta hazaña escribió un libro titulado “Facing the Frozen Ocean” y fue premiado por la Marina Real Británica.
En junio del año 2005, Grylls y dos compañeros más establecieron un récord mundial al celebrar una cena en una mesa suspendida bajo un globo de aire caliente a 24.000 pies de altura. Un menú de tres platos le fue servido a Bear después de trasladarse desde la cesta del globo a la mesa. Posteriormente, saludó a la reina desde el aire. La misión de la aventura consistía en celebrar el cincuenta aniversario del Premio Duque de Edimburgo.
Ahora con 35 años, después de haber recibido su educación y formación scout, y durante tantos años miembro del escultismo, se convierte en el Jefe Scout Nacional mas joven de la Asociación Inglesa. El mismo declara en su blog personal que el ser Jefe Scout Nacional es “un honor y un sueño hecho realidad”.
Bear, los que saben ingles, seguramente lo tienen claro desde el principio, pero para el resto les comento que Bear en ingles, se traduce por OSO, que es su nombre toten scout, y es por lo que todo el mundo lo conoce como Bear Grylls, o el Oso de Grylls.
Bear, famoso actualmente por su programa televisivo, anteriormente ha realizado diversas actividades que han sido muy conocidas, de la que destacamos el Record Guinnes que logró al escalar el Everest con tan solo 23 años.
Beer, se declara Cristiano y describe su fe como “la columna vertebral de su vida”, esta casado y con tres hijos pequeños.

A three-course dinner was served to Bear after moving from the balloon basket to the table. Later, greeted the Queen from the air. The mission of the adventure was to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Now 35 years after receiving their education and scout, and for many years a member of Scouting, becomes the youngest Chief National Scout for the FA. It states on his personal blog that being Chief National Scout is "an honor and a dream come true."
